S-IMEW 2019: May 2-17, 2019

Nominations are now closed for the PDAC's 2019 Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop.

Twenty-six of the top Canadian geoscience post-secondary students will be selected to attend the workshop in Sudbury, Ontario. Hosted at Cambrian College, S-IMEW will offer students the opportunity to participate in lectures, presentations and field trips that will touch on exploration techniques and mineral deposits, geophysics, geochemistry, regulatory requirements, environmental sciences, health and safety, and corporate social responsibility. A four-day field trip will take students to Rouyn-Noranda and Val d'Or, Quebec, to explore the geology of those mining camps and tour an underground mine.

Networking is an important aspect of the workshop and students have the opportunity to meet and mingle with over 90 volunteers from the exploration and development industry who deliver S-IMEW course content.

The success of our workshop relies heavily on the support and sponsorship from our industry partners. Review the S-IMEW 2019 Sponsorship Package for opportunities to profile your company while supporting our industry.
