Michele came to BHP in 2020 after working with Freeport-McMoRan Exploration for 12 years, where she had worked her way from junior geologist to management. In that time she created resource models for advanced stage projects around the globe and managed multiple exploration projects across the value chain. Prior to that role she spent 2 years working as a project geologist for various junior mining companies in the US. She has a particular passion around data management, data science and new technologies, which she was able to utilize in her first role at BHP as a Principal Geologist on the Joint Global Endowment team. She is currently Manager Generative for North America at BHP.
