Dr. Ayesha Ahmed is Manager - Geochemistry with Teck Resources Ltd., based in Vancouver. In her current role, she oversees a team of subject matter experts who support a range of geochemistry focused initiatives that span generative exploration through to ore body knowledge and operations. Ayesha joined Teck following an 8-year stint in Australia, working in the gold fields of the Australian outback and completing post-graduate studies.
She obtained an MSc from UBC MDRU in 2010 and a PhD from CODES University of Tasmania in 2019. Her PhD research focused on the application of mineral chemistry, particularly of epidote, chlorite and zircon, to extend the detectable geochemical footprint associated with porphyry Cu deposits.
