This session will address the challenges of building comprehensive business cases for decarbonization, including reducing emissions of existing operations and developing new low-carbon assets. Discussion will focus on assessing risks, opportunities and value associated with climate and decarbonization investments to determine how to deploy funding/capital in the most effective manner to achieve strategic outcomes.The panel will share examples of innovative technologies, operating models, commercial structures and partnerships that support decarbonization business cases focused on managing risks, increasing asset value and maximizing fiscal incentives. The panel will also explore methods, metrics, and data needed to forecast, communicate and track the value of decarbonization projects in terms of operational, financial and ESG performance.
