kʷúkʷpiʔ (Chief)

kʷúkʷpiʔ Stuart Jackson was born and raised in Merritt, BC and is a member of the Lower Nicola Indian Band of the Nłeʔkepmx Nation. Elected on the Lower Nicola Indian Band Chief and Council in 2019 as kʷúkʷpiʔ (Chief, Stuart Jackson previously served 7 terms as Councilor from 1997-2013) for the Lower Nicola Indian Band and served two terms as kʷúkʷpiʔ (Chief). In his previous work experience, Stuart worked at the Highland Valley Copper Mine in Logan Lake and prior to that he worked in the Education field. kʷúkʷpiʔ Stuart sits on the LNIB Development Corporation Board, Spayum Development Board, and Nicola Native Elders Lodge Board.
