Ph.D. candidate

Kristine Nymoen is a Ph.D. candidate at Laurentian University working on the Metal Earth project. She earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Bedrock- and Resource Geology at the Norwegian University of Technology and Science. Her M.Sc. thesis was a collaboration with the Geological Survey of Norway and focused on tectonomagmatic evolution and crustal architecture of the SW margin of Fennoscandia. Her current research integrates whole-rock geochemistry with zircon U-Pb-Hf-O isotopes and trace elements from Archean rocks to study the origin, petrogenesis and architecture of the southern Superior Craton in space and time. This research aims to understand implications for large-scale mineral endowment.
