Director of Economic Development

Jordan Hatton is the Director of Economic Development for BNA, a formerly displaced First Nation that is developing its reserve lands on the south-east shores of Lake Nipigon. In his work, Jordan is responsible for all on-reserve developments, the sawmill operation, off-reserve forestry and mining agreements and initiatives, all off-reserve consultation matters, multi-First Nation Projects and initiatives, and sits on multiple Boards for the community. Jordan received his master’s degree in political science from the University of Guelph in 2008, and has been working with First Nations for the last 15 years in various resource development, lands and economic development-related positions.
