Chief Irene Neeposh is a dynamic leader with a solid foundation in political science bringing knowledge in her role as Chief of the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi. Graduating from Carleton University she began her career in advocating for community engagement and equitable policy. She has worked with various local, regional, and provincial organization. Known for her strategic vision and dedication to public service, Chief Neeposh has championed initiatives focused on social equity and sustainable economic development. Her commitment to finding a balance between cultural preservation and economic development is strongly reflected in her leadership.
