I am a Masters student at Stellenbosch University where I am using machine learning to improve efficiency and reclass manganese ore processing at Black Rock Mine owned by African Rainbow Minerals. I am a geologist at heart, but I have found machine learning is a new trend which will need to be implemented into mining creating a new spark in my mind alongside geometallurgy.
