Daniel Layton-Matthews has been a Professor in Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering for the past 17 years and is a co-director of the Queen’s Facility for Isotope Research. His research is focused on the physical and chemical dispersal of elements in critical environments from modern and ancient seafloor through northern glaciated terrains, to hyper-arid areas with global collaborative research with >100 industry and academic researchers. He is an expert in the applications of isotope research and method development. He has over 100 refereed publications involving a large group of 15 BSc, 23 MSc, 13 PhD, and 15 PDF/RA since 2018.
