Ms. Westerfield is a Senior Consultant with SLR, based on Washington DC. With nearly 10 years of international and public sector experience, her background includes Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental & Social Management, and Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD). She has focused experience applying international lending requirements, including the World Bank IFC Environmental and Social Safeguards, Performance Standards, general/sector-specific EHS Guidelines, and Equator Principles.

Her most recent work has supported mining, renewable energy, and infrastructure development in the United States, Latin America, Caribbean, and Africa. She has conducted numerous culturally appropriate stakeholder engagement interviews, consultations, and public participatory meetings; including with indigenous peoples and local artisanal fisherfolk in the Caribbean and Latin America. She also has experience applying human rights impact assessment, gender, and FPIC principles, per the newly revised EP4 guidelines.
