Jason Prno Consulting Services Ltd. (JPCSL) is based in Ontario, Canada and provides specialized sustainability services to industry, government, Indigenous organizations, and the not-for-profit sector. The company specializes in providing socio-economic research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, corporate social responsibility, and regulatory support services to its clients. JPCSL is most often called upon to assist clients in natural resource development settings where interactions with local communities and stakeholders occur. The company has specific expertise with regards to mineral development projects in northern Canada (i.e. Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon and northern Ontario), but also continues to pursue projects in other jurisdictions and industrial sectors.
Jason Prno (PhD) is the owner of JPCSL and has worked in various consulting and academic capacities over his career. He completed his PhD at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada where his research focused on the development of strategies for earning a ‘social licence to operate’ in the international mining industry and methods for effective community engagement. While Jason remains involved in academic research, he is now focussed on providing sustainability consulting services to a diverse range of clients. He has presented the results of his academic and consulting work in respected journals, the media, and at various internationally attended conferences and workshops.
