Orogenic gold: Deep and epizonal systems

DATE
Monday, March 4, 2024
LOCATION
Room 701
Orogenic gold deposits occur in a variety of geological and structural settings throughout earth’s history and a remarkable range of metallogenic models exists, ranging from metamorphic to hybrid metamorphic-magmatic and magmatically driven. This session will provide a global overview and explore the characteristics of orogenic gold deposits on the deposit, property, and district scales, followed by examples from a range of depositional depths and geodynamic settings worldwide, ranging from those in Archean greenstone belts to Phanerozoic sedimentary-hosted deposits.

This session will be recorded and available online post convention for Individual and Corporate Members attending PDAC 2024 with an All Access Pass.
