Geopolitical risks and international perspectives in mining

DATE
Tuesday, March 5, 2024
LOCATION
Room 716
The session will examine the emerging Global Geopolitics that will significantly affect the future of the mining industry. As the world bifurcates in two ‘camps’ and moves towards re-shoring and regionalization; the key critical minerals necessary for the energy transition becomes even more important. This bifurcation will affect financing and investment sources, commodity prices, as well as supply chains.

Finally, the session will do a deep dive into Political Risk and Country Risk; and also review International mining disputes and arbitration cases.
