Emerging Asia Region will be the next frontier of significant consumption of metals. These countries with a total population of some 3.4 billion have an average GDP per capita of less than a third that of China and are increasingly focused on the energy transformation for their economic and social development to adapt the China model of industrialization and supply chain management.
The assessment of current and medium term demand for primary materials in the “Emerging Asia” and analysis of the current capacity for domestic production of both individual and regional areas points to a significant metals deficit in the region.
The business model for augmenting this deficit and the security of supply requirement will bring on a business path of international investments, joint ventures, domestic and overseas greenfield and brownfield developments.
Canadian explorers, developers and producers can gain the opportunity to have the first mover advantage on all fronts.
