The Sustainability Program aims to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue and peer-learning on key issues related to responsible exploration and mining.

The Sustainability Program features presentations and dialogue that examine the innovative ways in which mineral exploration and mining companies are working to improve their sustainability performance, presenting challenges and successes, as well as lessons learned. Topics discussed at the Sustainability Program are both current and critical to the continued improvement of the performance in the industry.

PDAC 2024 marks the launch of integrated policy sessions, which feature multi-disciplinary themes in multiple program areas. Sessions integrated with Indigenous and Capital Markets are noted below.


Monday, March 4

Leveraging agreement data in equitable negotiations (integrated with the Indigenous Program)

Capitalizing on responsible mining (integrated with the Capital Markets Program)

Tuesday, March 5

Weaving Indigenous knowledge and environmental initiatives: Case studies from Ní Hadi Xa and Citxw Nlaka’pamux assembly (integrated with the Sustainability Program)

Building comprehensive and competitive decarbonization business cases for the mining sector (integrated with the Capital Markets Program)

Wednesday, March 6

Indigenous led impact assessments: Moving from consultation to collaboration (integrated with the integrated with the Indigenous Program)

 

Exposing the gaps in attracting and retaining diverse talent will be recorded and available online post convention for Individual and Corporate Members attending PDAC 2024 with an All Access Pass.
