Natural Resources Canada and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat will lead a session on extractive sector transparency. The session would focus on guidance for exploration companies related to Canada’s Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA), and aspects of the new EITI Standard, released in June 2023, that apply to exploration companies. The session will support companies to become compliant or understand future obligations by addressing gaps in understanding current reporting requirements.
