Defining a pathway for Indigenous-led mineral exploration

DATE
Monday, March 4, 2024
LOCATION
Room 715
The session will explore the Indigenous approach to mineral exploration, environmental assessments and development. We are moving from Indigenous participation to Indigenous leadership. What do the Indigenous leaders in this space say about their fields of expertise, from Indigenous geologists to Indigenous engineers to Indigenous mining CEOs to Indigenous environmental assessment experts on Indigenous-led approaches to these areas and the tremendous value proposition created from true Indigenous leadership in this space.
The panel chair would like to invite Indigenous leaders, geologists, engineers, environmental experts, or other mineral exploration professionals to an informal gathering and conversation immediately following the panel session, to discuss Indigenous-led mineral exploration. Attendees are invited to connect, meet one another, and share their experiences, also in room 715.
