PDAC is proud to present our 2023-2028 Strategic Plan. The new plan builds on the goals and objectives outlined in the previous (2017-2021) plan, while adding a greater focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship, inclusion and diversity, and other priorities that will ultimately benefit our members, stakeholders and industry partners.

| GEOSCIENCE & INNOVATION

 

Geoscience BC's Project Concepts are new research ideas in development for which Geoscience BC is seeking input and investment from industry, government, academia, communities and Indigenous groups. Learn more about contributing to a project.

 

Geoscience BC is also conducting an online poll of industry decision-makers and geoscience users to understand interest in expanding its public critical minerals, cleaner energy and carbon capture research model beyond BC to other provinces and territories. If you're willing to share your knowledge to inform this expansion initiative, register your interest by emailing Richard Truman at [email protected].

| HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

 

PDAC is committed to supporting opportunities for students to experience different aspects of their studies in the geosciences. Applications for field trip funding from Canadian post-secondary institutions to support an academic field trip or support for field mapping schools will open on October 1. MiHR, CIM and PDAC present the Mining Needs You Virtual Career Fair to be held November 7 & 8. Registration is free for jobseekers to connect with employers, recruiters, and others for jobs and exciting work placement opportunities. Companies can purchase a booth to promote their opportunities for only $300, and have the option to purchase a webinar time slot. Visit the website to learn more and register today.

 

 

LIAMforum is a free online event, from October 3-6, focused on connecting young people with Sustainable Resource Development (mining, forestry, water & energy sectors) and providing valuable information about a variety of career paths, and networking opportunities in the sector. Over 100 thought-leaders and participants from academia, industry, think-tanks, multi-lateral institutions and governments, will share their ideas and concerns with, and listen to, the next generation. Register today to participate in this exciting event.

| MEMBERSHIP

 

Starting October 2, all individual and corporate members can renew membership for 2024. Be sure to renew by December 31 to take advantage of the discounted Core rate of $95. Don’t forget that you can renew or purchase a membership for up to three years to lock-in the current rate. Questions? .

Member Networking Events

 

On September 26, we hosted our inaugural Open House. More than 50 members got an up-close look at the Association’s work, met our Board of Directors and staff, and viewed a selection of minerals from the Royal Ontario Museum’s remarkable Kirwin Collection. Thanks for coming out. We look forward to seeing our Saskatchewan members in November – stay tuned for details!

 

PDAC would like to congratulate all the winners of this year’s Membership Referral Program.
