PDAC 2013 Aboriginal Program Video

The PDAC is world-renowned for its annual convention, trade show, and investors exchange in Toronto. The 2014 Convention will be taking place from March 2-5 in Toronto.

The PDAC has increasingly used the Convention as an opportunity to bring Aboriginal people together with the exploration and mining sector to enhance industry awareness of Aboriginal affairs and to showcase successful partnerships between Aboriginal communities and exploration and mining companies. The Aboriginal Program is a highlight of the PDAC Convention and is a venue for Aboriginal communities and companies and the mineral industry to network, share knowledge and experiences, and create partnerships.

At the 2013 convention, there were:

• 30,147 attendees from 126 countries
• 1,666 post secondary students
• More than 600 self-identified Aboriginal delegates
• 398 accredited media
• More than 500 mineral exploration and mining company exhibitors
• More than 400 other exhibitors including national, provincial and territorial governments
