Traditionally, the mineral industry has been dominated by mature workers. As these individuals retire, and technology is further incorporated into daily tasks, exploration and mining companies need to attract a younger workforce and new talent with different skill sets. This requires an understanding of the needs and values of younger generations which include working for a company that is both a good corporate citizen and a good employer.
This bursary aims to advance the mineral sector through excellence and innovation. It will provide support to the next generation of pioneers and leaders so that our industry can continue to generate sustainable value for all stakeholders in the years to come.
ERM, in partnership with PDAC, will award one eligible candidate with a $3,000 bursary focused on innovation in the environment or social performance across any of the following disciplines: exploration, environment, geoscience, engineering, geochemistry, social performance, and stakeholder engagement.
