Archean gold deposits in Canada

DATE
Monday, March 6, 2023
LOCATION
Room 716
Archean greenstone belts host a majority of Canada’s past gold production and continue to provide fertile ground for the generation of attractive exploration targets and successful mining operations. This session will provide an overview of the geology, the styles of mineralization, the controls on gold deposition, and highlight modern exploration approaches. The case studies will focus on insights from exploration and mining, new discoveries, novel concepts applied to existing mining camps, academic research, and the successful application of innovative exploration technology.
