Looking Past Peak Standard: The Art of the Possible in Alignment, Equivalency and Convergence between Mining’s Community of ESG (ONLINE)

As the world requires increasing amounts of minerals and metals for the green technology essential to a lower carbon future, there is no doubt that the mining sector is playing a vital role as we move to get to net-zero. We all need mined products, but it is just as critical that this demand be met by their responsible sourcing.

With the myriad of standards currently available in the mining space, and with markets and consumers increasingly demanding cleaner materials at every stage of the supply-chain for the products they consume, this session will explore how Towards Sustainable Mining, its partners in the M3 ISEAL project on interoperability, and others are working together to move past the peak of standards proliferation to simplify the standards landscape.
