Moving Forward: What’s next after the Every Day Respect Report (IN PERSON)

Earlier this year the mining industry was shocked by the release of the Everyday Respect Report Rio Tinto published. Behaviours that have long been known in the industry were backed by an extensive study into one of the world’s largest mining companies. Findings of harassment, bullying and discrimination frame the report, with 26 strong recommendations on how the company can move forward.

These findings left many feeling validated in their own experiences, while others felt uncomfortable with how the industry was portrayed. In the ‘Moving Forward’ session, we explore how the mining community can embrace the discomfort of these findings and build a stronger, safer, and more inclusive work environment for everyone.

Join us in an honest discussion about our unconscious bias’s as well as acknowledging the systemic behaviours that have been allowed in the mining industry. This session aims to promote a safe environment for open dialogue, and we ask that participants respect the confidentiality of all comments and those who attend.
