Colombia is a country with great mining potential, but only 3.26% of the country’s surface is dedicated to this activity. In recent years, a high potential for mineral resources has been identified by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, especially gold, silver and copper.
The territory’s geological formation, located in the belt of the Andes mountain chain, favours environments which show a favorable tendency for metallic prospects and deposits. A 27% increase in gold production by 2020 is anticipated in this region.
Discover Colombia’s geological potential and mining opportunities and meet government representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the National Mining Agency.
