Building the mine we want to see

Mining walks a fine line when navigating evolving stakeholder and shareholder expectations. With rising globalization, the demand for mining products and scrutiny over how they are extracted and used continues to grow.

This new reality directly impacts the way we do business. We are affected by changes driven through technological innovation, investor activism, community and consumer demands and government policy.

Drivers including population growth and urbanization, and disruptors such as metals substitutes and the circular economy are elevating sustainable mining. These changes demand a new narrative to communicate the critical role mining plays in securing sustainable global growth.

We will talk about five pillars integral to the future of mining. Panelists will share their perspectives on what it will take for mining to remain a leader in the sustainability space. Attendees will can raise their own questions and help to define, “The mine we want to see.”
