Reality capture technologies and hyperspectral imaging applications in the mining sector

Join us to learn more about CNA’s industry and technology partnerships showcasing advanced hyperspectral and reality capture technologies at work in the mining sector. Project updates include:

  • The largest hyperspectral public geoscience initiative in Canadian history to acquire hyperspectral imaging data on up to 200,000 meters of drill core stored in Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Industry, Energy and Technology public core storage libraries (DIET), and

  • Reality capture technologies for mining operation, such as

    • Hyperspectral/LiDAR drone applications

    • Autonomous LiDAR drone applications

    • Topobathymetric LiDAR drone usage for tailings

    • 3D digital mine mapping

    Specific equipment showcased will include:

    • Photon Etc.’s nCore hyperspectral drill core scanner

    • Hyspex hyperspectral/LiDAR drone

    • ExynAero autonomous LiDAR drone

    • ExynPak hand-held LiDAR
