Invest in Canada and Natural Resources Canada, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, are pleased to invite you to the Canada Investment Forum.

Minerals and metals are central to the net-zero energy transition. Significant increases in global production are needed to power the electric vehicle supply chain, including batteries and permanent magnets. Learn more about advanced exploration and processing projects in critical minerals across Canada. Additionally, discover what unique Canadian advantages are available to investors and meet directly with project proponents to identify business opportunities.

AGENDA
12:00 pm: Opening Remarks by Lauren Broten, CEO, Invest in Canada

12:05 pm: Keynote Address by the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada

12:20 pm: Panel Discussion #1: Canada: The Investment Destination for Sustainable Critical Mineral Value Chains

Canada is well positioned to be a global player in clean energy supply chains with its mineral wealth. Canada has advanced projects for key critical minerals necessary for this global transition including lithium, graphite, nickel, cobalt, copper, potash, and rare earth elements. Experts agree that in order to support the advanced manufacturing and digital supply chains for clean energy, we must further the investment in the production and processing segments of the critical minerals supply chains.

In this panel, global mining industry leaders will discuss why they are investing in Canadian critical mineral, processing and recycling value chains. Additionally, learn what makes Canada an attractive destination for ESG-conscious investors, mining majors and downstream companies looking to develop low carbon supply chains.

Moderator:
• Laurel Broten, CEO, Invest in Canada

Panellists:
• The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Canada
• Jérôme Pécresse, Chief Executive, Aluminium, Rio Tinto
• Rag Udd, Chief Commercial Officer, BHP
