Anita Soni

Anita Soni joined CIBC Capital Markets in 2018 as a Managing Director in Institutional Equity Research. Ms. Soni is the team’s senior precious metals research analyst with a focus on senior and intermediate gold stock coverage, thematic sector work and commodity forecasting. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering (specializing in Rock Mechanics at the Masters level) from the University of Toronto. Ms. Soni has 18 years of experience in researching and analyzing global mining companies as a senior equity analyst at leading global institutions including CIBC World Markets, Credit Suisse Canada, UBS Bunting Warburg and RBC Capital Markets. Prior to her financial roles, Ms. Soni acquired six years of mining experience working for a leading global engineering firm, Golder Associates, and has worked on several mining projects for large mining firms. Ms. Soni has been a CFA Charterholder since 2006 and has been a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario since 2000 (P.Eng).
