Keepers of the Circle was established out of an identified need to address the gap in Indigenous women’s economic outcomes and opportunities within mining. Situated in a region that has been rich with resources, Keepers of the Circle has worked for over 25 years to support Indigenous women to pursue meaningful careers in mineral exploration and development, a sector that has traditionally been, and continues to be, male dominated. Join this session as we share our unique approach towards training and skills development and showcase what happens when you invest in the success of Indigenous women. Listen as we share how to strengthen industry partnerships and how these relationships create safe workplaces within the industry that support Indigenous women. The shared expertise and insights on empowering Indigenous women, will help junior and major mining companies across Canada understand the challenges that exist, untap the unrealized growth opportunity in mining, and take the next steps towards reconciliation.
