With support from PDAC, hosted a variety of engaging, educational activities at several events this spring. These events included Indspire Soaring: Indigenous Youth Empowerment Gathering in Ottawa, Science Rendezvous in Kingston, the Paris Gem and Mineral Show in Paris, the New Brunswick Mining Week celebrations in Fredericton, the Skills Ontario Competition in Toronto, Earth Science for Society in Calgary, the Girls Discover STEM conference in Saskatoon, and the Canada-Wide STEM Fair in Ottawa

One of the standout activities was Mineral Discovery, which gave participants a hands-on experience with the identification methods used by geoscientists. Other activities highlighted the significance of mineral resources in our daily lives, explored potential career opportunities in the mining industry, and encouraged participants to match photos of mining operations with those of reclaimed sites.

These events provided an excellent platform to engage thousands of young people in STEM activities related to rocks, minerals, metals, mineral exploration, and mining.
