On June 4 the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology presented their report, Positioning Canada as a Leader in the Supply and Processing of Critical Minerals, which lays out ten recommendations for government. Toronto Exchange launches battery metals index


The S&P/TSX Battery Metals Index will track Canadian-listed companies engaged in the production and exploration of metals used in the making of batteries that power electric cars or are used in renewable energy, including copper, nickel, cobalt and lithium. The Index will support the critical minerals sector and offers insights into the energy transition. .
