As an organization, member and representative of Canada's mineral exploration and development industry, PDAC unequivocally condemns racism, inequity, discrimination and hatred in all forms. We believe that our industry has always had the potential to make social and economic improvements within communities where it operates. That is why equity, diversity and inclusion are strategic priorities for PDAC, and why they remain at the core of our mandate and our values. ADVOCACY

Supporting Canada’s mineral industry through COVID-19

A proposal to defer timelines associated with 2019/20 flow-through share funds by 12-months was included in the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan on July 10. This is a direct recommendation by PDAC as part of our ongoing advocacy efforts to assist the industry through the pandemic. We welcome this commitment by federal government to support Canada’s mineral exploration industry. Learn more by visiting our website.

Join the NGEA™ as a Team Mentor

The Frank Arnott - Next Generation Explorers Award (NGEA™) is now underway with over 100 students registered from around the world. The international geoscience challenge is searching for mentors to provide teams with encouragement, guidance and perspective on their projects. While mentors do not participate in the challenge, they can help introduce undergraduates to utilizing modern datasets, thinking through real exploration problems and exposure to industry software and processes. INDIGENOUS AFFAIRS

Request for proposals

PDAC is requesting proposals to assess the social impact of mineral development in indigenous communities. The report requires research through literature reviews, case studies and interviews, in order to trace the past and present impacts of projects on social infrastructure.
