TITLE

COVID-19 Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) announced

The Federal Government announced almost $1 billion to mitigate financial pressures of businesses, communities and organizations through the RRRF. It allows continuation of operations, including paying employees, and supports projects to prepare for a successful recovery. The RRRF may be accessible to those who do not qualify for CEWS or CEBA.

The Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR) unveils new website

MiHR‘s website will improve stakeholder access to projects and programs that address Canadian mining human resources and labour market trends. The new layout aligns with its 2019-2024 Strategic Plan and features a new centralized resource centre with advanced search functions and filters. Check it out!

Inaugural report to launch via webinar

MiHR has announced the upcoming release of The Changing Nature of Work: Innovation, Automation and Canada’s Mining Workforce. The report strengthens the understanding of how technology and automation will impact Canada’s mining workforce and what stakeholders can do to prepare.
