Security & Human Rights in Complex Environments
The Devonshire Initiative and the PDCA co-organized a session on Security & Human Rights in Complex Environments on September 29 in Toronto. Representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) met with mineral exploration companies to hear their stories of corporate-community relations as they relate to security governance and implementation of Voluntary Principles. |

This two-week expense paid workshop in Sudbury exposes upper-year geoscience students to all aspects of the mineral exploration industry Each school can nominate up to two students. Call for Applications: Mary-Claire Ward Geoscience Award
Graduate geology students who are enrolled in Canadian universities are eligible to apply for the 2015 Mary-Claire Ward Geoscience Award. The award encourages and supports a graduate student whose thesis embodies the concept of increasing our knowledge of the geological history of Canada through mapping. Visit the website to apply. |
Field Trip Funding
The PDAC is committed to supporting opportunities for students to experience different aspects of their geoscience studies. New Electronic Membership Renewal Invoices
Three things to know about your 2016 membership renewal:
1. On October 22, 2015 you will receive an email with a link to the Online Membership Form along with your personalized username and password.
2. Once you submit your 2016 membership application, you will be issued a confirmation email that your application has been received. An e-receipt will follow when the online application is approved.
3. Your membership expires December 31 – reminder emails will be sent to those who have not yet renewed their membership for 2016.
