               PM Stephen Harper promises to enhance METC               
While campaigning in North Bay, Ontario on September 2, Prime Minister Stephen Harper promised to expand the METC for three years if re-elected, and introduce a new 25% METC for northern and remote projects more than 50 km from an all-weather road or service centre. Capital Markets Regulatory Authority
On August 25, the ministers responsible for capital markets regulation in the jurisdictions participating in the Capital Markets Regulatory Authority released a revised consultation draft of the Capital Markets Act and initial regulations for consultation. Events at a glance
PDAC Executive Director Andrew Cheatle will be attending the 2015 Precious Metals Summit in Colorado from September 16-18.
PDAC President Rod Thomas and Executive Director Andrew Cheatle are participating in the United Nations Special Panel in Extractive Industries and the Sustainable Development Goals on September 26 in New York.
PDAC will be at AEMQ’s 2015 Explore, Booth #310, on October 7 and 8.
Rod and Andrew will be in London for the bi-annual ICMM Members’ Meeting from October 12-16.
