State of Mineral Finance: 2015 Déjà Vu
PDAC publishes its first ever “State of the Mineral Finance Report”, which was released at the PDAC 2015 Annual Convention. The report highlights continued challenges in raising equity capital and the shrinking exploration budgets for exploration companies. 2015 is expected to be a repeat of 2014, as companies continue to face share consolidations, mergers and acquisitions, delistings from exchanges, weak share prices and low discovery rates. It may take another year, well into 2016, before we see a sustainable turnaround in the industry.
