Student Activities At PDAC Convention 2013
The world renowned PDAC Convention offers students a unique opportunity to network with industry professionals from all over the world. Last year the Convention attracted over 1,600 students from across Canada, the USA and internationally.

PDAC-CIM Toronto Branch Guided Tours
These 90 minute tours are a great way to become acquainted with the 1000+ companies that exhibit in the Trade Show and Investors Exchange. The focus is on companies that have identified themselves as ‘student friendly’. Each tour stop will last approximately 7 minutes and will focus on the exploration and/or production aspects of the company’s projects and career opportunities.
Space is limited – sign up on-site at the Student Booth. The Student Booth will be moving to the 800 level near the concession stands this year.

The Convention Kickstart and the Student-Industry Forum *NEW EVENT* Convention Kickstart
Sunday, March 3, 4:30 -6:00pm Room 715
This new event will help you maximise your Convention experience, whether it’s your first time at the PDAC or your fifth. Discover the many opportunities available for you at Convention and learn from the pros insider networking tips, then, head over to the Royal York Hotel to put these tips to use at the Welcome Reception.
Student-Industry Forum Monday March 4, 2:00 – 4:00pm Room 701
Building on the success of last year’s Forum, this event returns with a keynote address and a panel of industry experts. Learn about the exciting range of career opportunities in the industry and take part in the Q & A that follows the event.
There will be a random draw for three $500 tuition top-up awards – proof of student membership is required to obtain the award.
*NEW EVENT* PDAC-SEG Canada Student Minerals Colloquium Monday March 4, 12noon- 8pm Ballroom, Royal York Hotel
The PDAC is pleased to partner with Society of Economic Geologists Canada and the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre to host the Annual "Minerals Colloquium". This will include up to 100 poster presentations highlighting current research on mineral deposits and related studies by students and faculty from across Canada.

Student-Industry Networking Luncheon Tuesday March 5, 11:30am – 1:30pm

The ever popular Student-Industry Networking Luncheon is back and will be bigger in 2013 as we are moving to a larger space in the North Building of the MTCC. The luncheon is our most popular event. With over 900 attendees it is your opportunity to mingle with industry professionals and colleagues from across Canada and the world.
The selected participants of the PDAC’s 2013 Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop will be announced and students have an opportunity to win seven $500 tuition top-up awards.
