Student Activities At PDAC Convention 2013

The world renowned PDAC Convention offers students a unique opportunity to network with industry professionals from all over the world. Last year the Convention attracted over 1,600 students from across Canada, the USA and internationally.

PDAC Introduces Students to the Real World of Mineral Exploration
This coming May, some 25 senior earth science students from across Canada will converge on the Greater Sudbury area for the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada's annual Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop.

e3 Plus Logo The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) developed e3 Plus - A Framework for Responsible Exploration in order to help exploration companies continuously improve their social, environmental and health and safety performance and to comprehensively integrate these three aspects in to all their exploration programs. It is a voluntary guideline designed to help inform explorers in their decision-making while engaged in exploration projects around the world.

Principles for Responsible Exploration

The overall purpose of this document is to provide a set of Principles to which all explorers should aspire, together with Guidance Notes which illustrate what is required to convert the Principles into action.


The e3 Plus comprehensive and practical toolkits cover issues concerning social responsibility, environmental stewardship and health and safety.
