Ontario’s Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) Review of Regulation 308/12 – Exploration Plans and Permits

Ontario’s Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) is conducting a review of Regulation 308/12, the Exploration Plans and Permit process of its Mining Act, including its policy on Consultation and Arrangements with Aboriginal Communities at Early Exploration. The scope of the review will include regulations, provincial standards for early exploration, and operational policies and procedures.

The PDAC is planning to submit comments to MNDM and would appreciate receiving feedback from its members operating in Ontario. If you have any comments on Regulation 308/12 Plans and Permits and / or Ontario’s policy on consultation and arrangements with Aboriginal communities at early exploration, please email them by Monday July 6, 2015 to Lesley Williams, Manager of Aboriginal Affairs, PDAC.
