PDAC 2019 Aboriginal Forum: Innovative Partnerships Livestream

Models for leading practices in community engagement and Aboriginal participation in the mineral industry. This session features presentations on a program involving local community elders participating on-site at an exploration project to share their wisdom and experience, as well as a panel discussion on how innovative partnerships relate to business development.

PDAC Aboriginal Program

The Aboriginal Program at the PDAC Convention provides a platform for discussion on fostering cooperative, respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships between Aboriginal communities and the minerals industry. It brings Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal-owned companies together with the industry and other interested parties to share experiences, exchange ideas and network.

  • 1,694 post secondary students
  • More than 500 self-identified Aboriginal delegates
  • 363 accredited media
  • More than 500 mineral exploration and mining company exhibitors
  • More than 400 other exhibitors including national, provincial and territorial governments
