Proposed update to U.S. mining disclosure rules

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed revisions to modernize U.S. property disclosure requirements (the Proposed U.S. Rules) which are intended to align U.S. disclosure requirements with global industry standards such as NI 43-101.  However, many commentators have noted that the Proposed U.S. Rules  deviate from existing disclosure standards such as NI 43-101 in many key respects, and that the Proposed U.S. Rules, if adopted in the form originally proposed, may create more problems than they solve. PDAC has made a submission to SEC on the proposed amendments.
