Your views invited on proposed measures to help exploration companies survive downturn
Later this month and into the New Year, the PDAC’s finance and taxation
committee will be presenting MPs and senior federal government officials
with a series of proposed measures to help companies in the exploration
sector survive the current economic downturn. Officials from Natural
Resources Canada and Finance Canada have asked to meet representatives
of the PDAC during the week of December 15 to discuss the impact of the
current fiscal crisis on the sector. Members are asked to do two things:
a) submit your views on the proposed measures; and b) send in
information on how your company is responding to the current financial
situation. The recommendations are
here and a fuller discussion of the proposed measures is
