The Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia Launches Permitting Survey
The Board of Directors for the Association for Mineral Exploration
British Columbia has raised concerns about critical delays in mineral
exploration permitting at its last meeting in June. In response,
the Board approved a motion to create a special permitting committee to
review the extensive delays being reported throughout the province.
The AME BC has created a survey to facilitate this review. The
PDAC supports these survey efforts and invites members to participate by
providing examples of work delays. To access the survey on the AME BC website, please
and scroll down to the section called Inside AME BC: Mineral
Exploration Permitting – Submit Your Example.
Submitted information will not be used as a direct example without
approval. Please indicate whether you want your information to
remain confidential. The Committee will conduct a focused review
leading to direct discussions with government to develop both short-term
and longer-term solutions to permit issuance. Please send your
completed survey form to: Rick Conte Vice President, AME BC
