Junior Miner of Ontario Competition!
Enter Mining Matters’ Junior Miner of Ontario
Competition. One or a group of you could be
named Junior Miners of Ontario and win cash
prizes! If your teacher hasn’t told your class
about this fun way to learn and win, you could
mention it!
Cash prizes ranging from $50 to $150, are based
on five standards of achievement.
How You Can Enter
Make a poster or write a composition, essay,
poem, story, or article describing why the
Earth’s rock and mineral treasures are important
in our daily lives. You could get together with
friends to submit a group or class project.

Where Challenge!
The Where Challenge is a national contest endorsed by the Canadian Earth sciences community that asks students aged 10 - 14 years to discover the answers to these questions:
What on Earth is in your stuff and WHERE on Earth does it come from? There are thousands of dollars in regional and national prizes to be won and you can enter as a group, an individual or a school. All you have to do is use your imagination and dig up some interesting facts about your stuff.
Entries received before February 1, 2010 go into
