Industry Involvement at the PDAC 2018 Convention

PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration. This event draws over 24,000 attendees from 130 countries, including over 1,200 students. 

The convention features a unique Student Program with events geared toward post-secondary students and recent graduates, with a commitment to raise awareness of the many opportunities that the exploration and development industry have to offer.
The Student Program relies on industry professionals to engage and encourage today's students, the future leaders of our industry.

Opportunities for Exhibitors and Industry Professionals

CIM-Toronto Branch Guided Tours of the Trade Show & Investors Exchange

For each tour that you choose to participate in, a group of 10 students, led by an industry professional will visit your booth. You will have ~7 minutes to promote your company and answer student questions.
 
Sunday March 4 - 1:00 pm
Monday March 5 - 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
Tuesday March 6 - 10:00 am and 2:00 pm

As a participant in the Guided Tours your company will be added to the Student Friendly Company List, which will be available to students during the Convention and posted on the PDAC website prior to the Convention.

Student-Industry Networking Luncheon

Tuesday March 6, 11:30 - 1:30 pm

Participate as an Industry Partner

The most popular event of the student program; participation at this free reception-style buffet luncheon gives you a rare opportunity to profile your company to over 900 students and industry professionals. Industry Partners will receive a 6' table (with signage indicating the Company name) to display their materials and showcase their company and opportunities to students.

Attend the Student-Industry Networking Luncheon 
You don't have to be an industry partner to participate. Share your experiences with students and recent graduates. Your advice and anecdotes will help them gain a better understanding of the various types of careers in the industry while broadening their network.

FREE for registered attendees with an All Access Pass or an Exhibitors badge. Registration is suggested but not required for industry professionals.

If you do not wish to participate in the Guided Tours but would like to be listed as a Student Friendly Company, we can add your company name and booth number to the list. Students who are unable to participate in the tours usually visit the Student Friendly Companies on their own.

Student Minerals Colloquium

PDAC is pleased to partner with the NSERC-CMIC Footprints Network, the Goodman School of Mines, and the Society of Economic Geologists Canada Foundation in sponsoring the Annual Student Minerals Colloquium.

This event  will feature 100 poster presentations highlighting current research on mineral deposits and related studies by students from across North America.
