The world renowned PDAC Convention offers students a unique opportunity to network with industry professionals from all over the world. Last year the Convention attracted over 1,600 students from across Canada, the USA and internationally.

Student Membership

For $19.05/year (plus tax) you can join the PDAC as a student member. This allows you to enjoy all member benefits, cheaper convention registration and the opportunity to qualify for tuition top-up awards at the Convention. To sign up for membership click here.

Student Hub & Resources

The Student Hub will be located on Level 800 across from the Trade Show. This new space will host Resume Review sessions, registration for the guided tours of the trade show & investors exchange, and other engagement opportunities for students.

We have released a PDAC 2017 - Student Program Guide to help you survive the convention and make the most out of your experience!

The Northern Miner is free to access till March 10th! Good for staying up to date on companies at PDAC. Visit our PDAC website for some must know Attendee Info.

Our Student Friendly Companies list is available! These are great companies to approach while at convention.  I recommend be strategic and doing your research on a handful before attending the convention.  Work with your classmates to lighten the load!

PDAC-CIM Toronto Branch Guided Tours

The tours are a great way to become acquainted with the 1000+ companies that exhibit in the Trade Show and Investors Exchange. Each tour stop will last approximately 7 minutes and will focus on the exploration and/or production aspects of the company’s projects and career opportunities. 

All Access Student Pass required for participation.

strong>PDAC-NSERC-CMIC-GSM-SEG Student Minerals Colloquium 

PDAC is pleased to partner with the NSERC-CMIC Footprints Network, the Goodman School of Mines, and the Society of Economic Geologists Canada Foundation in sponsoring the Annual Student Minerals Colloquium. This event is hosted by the SEG Student Chapters at Laurentian University and the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre and will feature 100 poster presentations highlighting current research on mineral deposits and related studies by students from across North America.

Student-Industry Networking Luncheon
The flagship event of the student program; this reception-style buffet luncheon provides an opportunity to make valuable connections with industry professionals and peers. The winner of the Mary-Claire Ward Geoscience Award will be announced as well as the selected 2017 Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop (S-IMEW) students. There will be a random draw for five $300 tuition top-up awards. Proof of student membership is required to claim the award.
