Opportunities for Industry at PDAC 2017 Convention

PDAC’s annual convention is the world’s premier meeting of mineral explorationists, developers, investors, corporate and investment bankers, financiers, analysts and government representatives. 
PDAC 2015 attracted over 23,000 people from more than 100 countries.

The world renowned PDAC Convention features a unique Student Program with events geared toward post-secondary students and recent graduates, with a commitment to raise awareness of the many opportunities that the exploration and development industry have to offer. The Student Program relies on industry professionals to engage and encourage today's students - tomorrow's leaders. 

Your participation in the following events provides an excellent opportunity to profile your company at no cost.

PDAC-CIM Toronto Branch Guided Tours of the Trade Show & Investors Exchange

tour3For each tour that you choose to participate in, a group of 10 students, led by an industry professional will visit your booth. You will have ~7 minutes to promote your company, describe projects/activities and answer student questions. You can also hand out promotional materials to students.

As a participant in the Guided Tours your company will be added to the Student Friendly Company List, which will be available to students during the Convention and posted on the PDAC website prior to the Convention.

If you do not wish to participate in the Guided Tours but would like to be listed as a Student Friendly Company, we can add your company name and booth number to the list. Students who are unable to participate in the tours usually visit the Student Friendly Companies on their own.

Student-Industry Networking Luncheon              

student-industry networking luncheon-45Join us for a unique opportunity to engage aspiring geology and mining-engineering students. This event gives you the ability to discuss your career and share your experiences with students. Your advice and anecdotes help students and graduates gain a better understanding of the various types of careers that are available to them, while allowing them the opportunity to practice their networking skills. You don't have to be an industry partner to participate. 

This event features a reception-style buffet lunch and is free for registered attendees with 
an All Access Pass, Exhibits Day Pass or an Exhibitors badge. 
Registration is suggested but not required for industry professionals.

Student Minerals Colloquium     


PDAC is pleased to partner with the NSERC-CMIC Footprints Network, the Goodman School of Mines, and the Society of Economic Geologists Canada Foundation in sponsoring the Annual Student Minerals Colloquium.

This event is hosted by the SEG Student Chapters at Laurentian University and the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre and will feature 100 poster presentations highlighting current research on mineral deposits and related studies by students from across North America.
