Organizer: Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic Mining Day

The Dominican Republic is located in the middle of the Caribbean, occupying 2/3 of the second largest island in the Antilles. Due to its geodiversity, the country contains one of the largest gold mines in the world. Pueblo Viejo is operated by Barrick and Gold Corp and is well known in the mining world.

However, Pueblo Viejo is not our only attraction. Gold, silver, nickel, copper, zinc, bauxite, marble, limestone, salt and gypsum are part of the diversity of minerals that can be found in our country.

The Minister of Energy and Mines invites you to share our experiences and presents an overview of mining activity, opportunities, legal framework and important information regarding the country’s resources based on geochemical, geophysical and geothematic information provided by the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the National Geological Survey.

The government of the Dominican Republic is committed to the expansion of the sector and welcomes foreign investment. Come and explore the possibilities.

Registration is preferred, but not required. For more information and to register, contact [email protected]
