Developing the Kudz Ze Kayah Project in southeast Yukon

Scott Donaldson, President of BMC Minerals (No.1) Ltd. (BMC) will present the compelling development story of BMC’s 100% owned Kudz Ze Kayah (KZK) Project in southeast Yukon.

A panel of experts will discuss and provide valuable insight into key aspects of developing minerals projects in the highly prospective mining regions of Yukon.
Panel topics:
• Why Yukon is a world class destination for mining investment
• Private equity investment in natural resources
• Selection and acquisition of base metal mineral assets in the Yukon
• Design and construction of minerals processing facilities, a global capability
• First Nations engagement – obtaining the social licence

About KZK: KZK is located within Yukon’s highly prospective Finlayson Lake district (FLD) which is known to host several VMS deposits.

BMC holds five Zn/Cu/Pb/Ag/Au rich Mineral Resources in the FLD with a Definitive Feasibility Study due for the first of these (ABM deposit) in 2018 June quarter.

The current Preliminary Feasibility Study (May 2017) demonstrates a high-grade project operating for a minimum of 9.6 years, delivering separate Zn, Cu and Pb concentrates with significant precious metal (Au/Ag) credits.

Using consensus price deck1 the project financials return an NPV7 of ~US$600M, with production commencing in Q1 2020. Capital costs for the project (including contingency) projected to be US$298 million.

Positive economics aside, the KZK Project is well supported by existing infrastructure, including site access road and all-weather highway access to a year-round port for concentrate export. There remains strong regional exploration potential for Project growth and BMC has established a close relationship with First Nations.

The BMC team have a track record of delivering mining projects into production around the world.
